Celestin Pepin – Invescap SA Associate 

Celestin Pepin has been an associate at Invescap SA, Switzerland, since 2023. Some of his key achievements during his time at this private market investment management firm include leading the design and implementation of a private credit investment solution and the establishment of companies in the USA and Luxembourg, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with local regulations. He also designed a pricing mechanism for underlying receivables financing to optimise financial performance and worked on the creation of a Luxembourg Alternative Investment Fund.

Before becoming a full associate at Invescap, Mr Pepin was a junior associate. In this role, he created and implemented performance calculation and fund amortisation instruments and developed an institutional private credit strategy.

Swiss Armed Forces

Since 2017, Mr Pepin has served in the Swiss Armed Forces and – having completed Swiss Officer School with honours – he is now a first lieutenant. As part of his service, Mr Pepin led a platoon of 30 trilingual signal and intelligence soldiers for 18 weeks and was deployed as a company executive officer responsible for the front company command post as part of forest firefighting efforts in the Swiss Alps in 2019. He was also deployed during the COVID-19 pandemic, with responsibility for the organisational planning and operational setup of a military hospital, and spent four weeks deployed as a trilingual platoon leader of 56 soldiers assisting a rescue and engineering company in 2018.

Education & Experience

Mr Pepin holds a BA degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. His thesis, Effects of the Quantitative Easing Program on the US Stock Market During the COVID-19 Crisis, was so well-regarded that it was published at the university. Mr Pepin also participated in the CFA Program at the CFA Institute in Geneva, completing Level III in 2024. He anticipates being awarded the charter upon completing the required work experience in July 2025. He is skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, Python and SQL.

Hobbies & Interests

A citizen of both Switzerland and Canada, Mr Pepin enjoys a diverse range of hobbies and interests, including economic history and travelling – he’s visited over 100 countries to date. He also likes to cook, sail, run, go the gym and read, citing some of his favourite books as Franz Kafka’s The Castle, Daniel Kahneman’s Thinking, Fast and Slow and Joseph Heller’s Catch-22. He belongs to the alumni club of his former university and the officers’ club Offiziersverein HSG Alumni.

He recently started volunteering with the Swiss Red Cross, helping children from war-torn countries who were granted asylum in Switzerland to learn French, adapt to the school system and complete their homework.
